Welcome

Hello and welcome to our new website, Glacial Impressions. Thank you for checking out this site as we hope you find it enjoyable and interesting. As a geologist I have found it fascinating to see the many patterns and colors in the rocks found on the shores of our Great Lakes. This is mainly due to the type of rock found in the Canadian Shield north of the Great Lakes and the fact that the glaciers during the previous glacial advance transported them southward. Yesterday, Brigitte and I explored the beach at Sturgeon Point finding many treasures to craft into coasters and other items.
